This is the "EL SUPREMO" Model which is a 100% 16 gauge Stainless Steel construction.  100% Welded Construction (no rivets used.)  The end cap plates are 16 gauge Stainless Steel; the cage is 16 gauge Perforated Stainless Steel and has either 1/8" or 3/16" Diameter Perforated Holes (your choice); the interior finwork (total fins: 4) are 16 gauge stainless steel, are all 1 3/4" in height and go the full length of the drum.   This drum is suggested for commercial high-volume roasting, or similar heavy demand roasting applications.  For average home roasting use, it is suggested that you purchase my less expensive $109.95 Standard Aluminum sidewall design or $209.95 Premium 20 gauge Stainless Steel caged design.

This is a VERY BIG drum (end cap plates are 10 inches in diameter; drum cylinder is 9 inches in diameter by 18 inches in length).  It is built like a tank, using welded construction.  This drum is designed for the very serious home user or commercial nuts roaster.  You must have a BBQ that will fit this big drum.  Sorry but no alterations are made on the size of the drum.  It only comes in the size referenced above.

This drum is designed to easily handle up to 10 pounds of peanuts or other roastable nuts.  Nuts are put in drum through one of the end caps which is of swingable construction; other cap is permanently attached.

Q: I do not have the rotisserie to put the drum on. Do you have suggestions on a good Rotisserie unit for this application?
A: Yes. The Char Broil Premium Rotisserie, Universal Fit, with Electric Motor. Available very inexpensively at any Home Depot store. 

Q: Are there any non-metal parts that are part of the drum unit?
A: Absolutely not. The Roasting drum is 100% 16 gauge Stainless Steel metal construction.  All welded, no rivets used in construction.

Q: Does this roaster have vertical fins inside of the roasting drum to help evenly distribute the beans during the roasting process? I cannot tell from the picture.
A: Yes in fact it does. The fins (4 of them) are attached inside of the drum, and significantly help in the roasting process.

Q: Is this drum designed for Gas or Electric Grills, or both?
A: While you may be able to get a decent roast with an electric grill, a gas grill is the preferred type as you can regulate the heat much quicker, which helps out with the roasting process.
